The art of decorating cakes is an underrated creative field that people tend to overlook. Much like creative make-up artists, bakers go all out to create delicious and realistic custom cakes and thankfully, their hard work is coming to the forefront of pop culture through shows like Sugar Rush and Nailed It! on Netflix as well as countless IG accounts dedicated to cake art.

However, one home baker in Malaysia has created cakes that are unique yet stomach-churning. Guaranteed to immediately send chills down your spine, instead of cute rainbow sprinkles, the Ipoh-based baker made edible lizard and cockroach cakes instead!

Aside from it being a lil’ scary because it’s so realistic, we really do tip our hats off to the baker’s mad skills in creating a fondant-cicak and –lipas that look strangely identical to the real-life critters, from antennas to tail.
