FUGŌ Releases Latest Single ‘His Way’ That Goes Deep Into the Topic of Life

FUGŌ recently released their latest single, ‘His Way‘, following the band’s success with their last single in 2022, ‘As Long As We Stay‘, which accumulated over 800,000 streams on Spotify.

The title track was penned in 2022 for their upcoming album, 99, which is scheduled for release later this year.

The band said that the album will centre around the theme of life, exploring how individuals discover a brighter path after overcoming personal struggles.

Reflecting this theme, the title track aims to present a profound and emotionally rich soundscape, blending easy-listening elements with subtle drama.

‘His Way’, like a poignant scene in a coming-of-age film, envelops listeners in its dreamy melodies and heartfelt lyrics, offering a glimpse into the band’s deeply emotional and introspective storytelling.

The track may not veer far from the band’s established sound profile, but it showcases their ability to consistently deliver music that resonates with their audience.

In a conversation with JUICE, FUGŌ opened up about the story behind ‘His Way’, noting that the track drew inspiration from a collection of stories, personal experiences, biographies, movies, games, and even books.

“These stories, with their ups and downs, represent the fascinating journey of human existence. We were particularly drawn to the idea that even the most challenging life problems can have positive solutions.

“So, through this album, we aim to deliver a message of hope and resilience, reminding listeners that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel,” said FUGŌ.

Regarding the track’s title and its potential ties to personal religious views, the band clarified that ‘His Way’ takes on a more philosophical approach, aiming to convey a message that is both subjective and universally relatable rather than tied to specific religious beliefs.

Since the upcoming album will be discussing the topic of life, we also asked the band whether they would go into the theme of the afterlife in the future, to which they let out a chuckle and replied, “That’d be quite the collaboration, the band with some ghostly storytellers.”

“Seriously, though, our focus right now is exploring the beautiful story of human experiences, hoping to cultivate a deeper appreciation for what we have. There’s so much to unpack when it comes to the joys, struggles, and everything in between.

“We hope that our music inspires listeners to embrace the beauty of life. Don’t give up, share the love with everyone, and keep the good vibes flowing!” said the band.
