Fendi X FRGMT Celebrate the Year of the Dragon With Kawaii Pokémon Chic

With the Year of the Dragon slowly approaching, Fendi and legendary Japanese streetwear designer, Hiroshi Fujiwara, have teamed up to welcome Lunar New Year 2024 with some Pokémon chic.

Simply dubbed the Fendi x FRGMT x Pokémon collection, you’ve got a healthy selection of Pokémon-themed drip to choose from. But since this is the Year of the Dragon, the collection highlights some of your favourite dragon-type Pokémon, including Dratini, Dragonair, and of course, Dragonite.

The collection takes on iconic Fendi silhouettes, including the Baguette bag, and adds some punchy Pokémon flair to make the Year of the Dragon one to remember.

Take a look at some of our favourite pieces below:

1. Soft Trunk Baguette

Featuring an ‘FF’ jacquard motif with flying Dragonite inlays, this unique rendition of the Baguette bag is sure to turn heads at your next Lunar New Year gathering.

Aside from looking great, the Soft Trunk Baguette bag is also pretty practical. In addition to carrying small items (like your phone and wallet), it also comes with six leather cardholder slots.

2. Peekaboo ISeeU X-Cross

The Peekaboo has an interior that’s divided into two compartments. The bag features Fendi’s iconic twist lock, along with a zip fastening on the back. Depending on your mood, it can also be worn as a shoulder bag.

3. Baguette & Baguette Mini (Nappa Leather)

Two of the most striking pieces in the collection come in the form of Dratini and Dragonite-themed Baguette (Mini) bags. The Dratini Baguette Mini comes adorned with light blue Nappa leather, while the Dragonite Baguette bag comes in soft yellow Nappa leather.

The two bags resemble the Pokémon they represent, making it look like you’re carrying these little Pocket Monsters everywhere you go.

4. Wallet & Card Case

Featuring light blue Nappa leather details, the smaller Fendi Card Case has enough room for six cards. Its bigger counterpart has four back cardholder slots, a central zip compartment, and a front card holder.

The biggest of the bunch uses a tri-fold design that lets you conveniently view and place your cards/cash within easy reach.

All three have intricate Dratini-themed accents.

5. Shopper

Featuring a big and bold Fendi Roma script, the Shopper is for those who love carrying more than just the essentials. Coupled with some flying Dragonites, this is a bag you’ll want to have with you when out on your many Lunar New Year gatherings.

It’s got a roomy, lined internal compartment with a zip pocket. You can carry it by hand or use it as a shoulder/cross-body bag.

6. Baguette Medium (Beaded & Fringed)

This Baguette Medium is entirely embroidered with beads that create Fendi’s iconic ‘FF’ motif, along with depictions of Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite.

The bag’s edges are decorated with multicoloured beaded fringes, adding a unique look to an iconic silhouette.

7. Dragonite Totem

Considered a rare collector’s item, the Dragonite Totem is a must-have if you love the friendly dragon Pokémon. It even has its own ‘FF’ motif bandana .

Made of yellow padded leather with blue and white Nappa leather details, each Dragonite Totem requires 30 hours of intricate work by Fendi’s leather artisans.
