WATCH: Director of ‘Parasite’, Bong Joon-Ho Teases New Sci-fi Film Starring Robert Pattinson
Parasite remains the only foreign film to ever take home the Best Picture award at the Oscars, cementing itself as one of the best films of all time.
We at JUICE have the highest appreciation for Bong Joon-Ho, the man behind the masterpiece.
In earlier articles, we have listed films for fans of Parasite as well as praised his other works, most notably Snowpiercer.
Today, Bong has teased his latest project, a film starring Robert Pattinson titled, Mickey 17.
Watch the teaser below:
So far, all we know about the film is that it was adapted from the book, Mickey7 by Edward Ashton.
The film will supposedly follow our protagonist, played by Robert Pattinson (The Batman, Good Time, Twilight), who is a clone tasked to colonise the ice world, Nilfheim during a human expedition.
The plot surrounds the idea of clones that can regenerate new bodies yet still keeping all of their past memories.
Other A-listers attached to the film are Steven Yeun (Nope, The Walking Dead, Minari), Toni Collette (Hereditary, The Sixth Sense, Knives Out) and Mark Ruffalo (Shutter Island, Zodiac, The Avengers).
After reading the summary of the source material, it seems that Bong could be drawn to the book’s themes of class inequality, which is evident in almost all of his works.
While everything is still up in the air at the moment, there is only one thing that we can expect from this movie – a damn good time!
