Netflix’s upcoming hour-long TV series, Snowpiercer recently dropped its trailer and it looks exciting! The show adapts newly Oscar-winning (Parasite), South Korean director Bong Joon-ho’s 2013 dystopian sci-fi film of the same name.

To promote the futuristic action thriller, the poster shows two main characters played by Oscar-winner Jennifer Connelly and Grammy-winner Daveed Diggs going head-to-head with Malaysia’s iconic landmark, the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), and more prominently – the Petronas Twin Towers, in between them.

Somewhat ironic that the poster has ‘class warfare’ written on it with Malaysia at the back. Looks like the B40’s and T20’s aren’t getting along… is there an underlying statement here? LOL. Anyway, check it out:

Coming to Netflix on 25 May, Snowpiercer is about the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a perpetually moving train that circles around the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation.

So, nope – the show is not located in Malaysia, although the train technically could pass by KLCC and the second part of that synopsis sounds scarily similar.

JUICE is a big fan of the original 2013 film and all of Bong Joon-ho’s works, so take a look at the trailer below and judge for yourself if it’s binge-watching!
