Speaking with JUICE, LOL Asia CEO Rizal Kamal said that the company’s journey has been incredible, and every show has been meaningful.

“If I had to pick a few highlights, I’d start with our first big show, Kings and Queen of Comedy Asia. It featured iconic talents like Kumar, Harith Iskander, Douglas Lim, Hung Le, and Vir Das, and at the time, it was Malaysia’s biggest stand-up show with 2,900 attendees.

“Over the years, we’ve hosted dozens of international comedians, teamed up with nearly every local comic, produced multiple TV comedy shows, and now we’re putting on concerts too! Working with legends like Hujan, Search, Ella, Yuna, and Korean stars like Ailee and Bang Yedam has been a dream. We’ve done a lot, and we’re only just getting started!” he said.

Rizal added that LOL Asia is currently developing new show concepts, such as a music festival that might incorporate AI.

“LOL Asia is all about bringing entertainment across Asia, and we’re pushing that vision forward. This past year, we’ve done shows in 23 cities spanning Asia and Australia.

“We’re also working on new show concepts, like a music festival that incorporates AI and technology and unique comedy show IPs. We want to make sure that LOL Asia is not just present but thriving in every major market in Asia,” he said.

Be part of the celebration!
