It should be made clear by now that animals are living things and not props to be used or tossed around for the sake of making a video.

Recently, a teenage boy in Kampung Aru Baru, Sarawak was arrested by authorities after abusing a cat while recording a Tik Tok video.

In the Tik Tok video, we can clearly see the 19-year-old boy holding the helpless orange cat and seconds later, tossing it away into a field.

Due to his actions, the video went viral on social media and even caught the attention of the Malaysia Animal Association.

The organization states that the boy is unaware of how his actions could be considered a crime. According to them, the cat can most likely suffer from injuries and trauma due to the impact of the throw. They also expressed that the act of using animals just to gain views and attention should be prevented.

Many netizens were shocked and angered by the boy’s video. Many have expressed their own opinions, stating that the boy is an attention seeker for committing such a cruel crime just to be famous.

The arrest of this young man will serve as a teaching moment for other youngsters who do not believe that committing violence towards animals will land them in trouble. We hope that these actions will not continue in other videos.
