Against Lab Collabs With Phyn Studio To Create Air Max 97-Inspired T-Shirts For Their Latest Collection
After receiving their big break when they were featured on Hypebeast for their SPLIT collection, Against Lab is back once again and this time, they have teamed up with another local contemporary streetwear brand, Phyn Studio, for a collaboration sequel in their new capsule collection titled: ‘STREAM’.
The collection takes inspiration from the Nike AM97, as it features very intricate straight and streamline sewing patterns that mimic the sneaker’s design structure, only this time it’s incorporated into a T-shirt.
What makes this collection unique is how the materials used to make the garments were repurposed from the Against archive into new silhouettes. The brand has decided to build upon the patterns used from the previous collaboration in order to create an entirely fresh collection.
Both of the brands have also put a lot of thought into the lookbook campaign for the new collection. The theme revolves around a yellowish sepia tint, and the shirt is placed inside a fish aquarium to mimic the look and feel of a laboratory. The fishes however are like the DNA extracted from AM97 and incorporated into the clothing.
Against Lab and Phyn Studio’s latest collection really looks into the future of fashion.
We personally love it when local brands come together to collaborate. We hope that these brands will hold more collaborations in the future with other up and rising fashion names.
If you’re interested in purchasing the shirt while stocks last since they are limited, head on to the Against Lab or Phyn Studio website to get your hands on them.
