Earlier this week, 0108 SLATAN artist Quai released his latest almost four-minute ballad track, ‘Sabar Sayang‘. which features Orang Malaya and international superstar Yuna.

The melancholy song delves into the importance of loyalty and patience in a relationship, with Quai openly discussing the struggles he faces with his partner due to the demands of his music career.

In the track, the 25-year-old expresses how his late nights are often spent missing his loved ones while he’s busy working.

Despite the allure of the industry, Quai emphasises that his relationship remains a priority, apologising for falling short at times

This sentiment is evident in the first verse, where he sings, “Lewat malam aku rindu, kau tarik muka sebab ku tak ada itu isu,” acknowledging his partner’s frustrations with his absence.

The rapper then reassures her that he will continue to be honest in the relationship while he’s working hard to achieve their dreams together, stating, “Apa benda ku buat kau tahu aku takkan tipu. Aku real gila seratus peratus beribu, ku bukan lelaki begitu.

Yuna further complements this narrative by echoing Quai’s apology, singing, “So, pick up the phone, baby. I know you’re home, baby. Ku tahu kau rasa alone lately; I need you right now.”

The track concludes with a contribution from Orang Malaya, whose edgy and dynamic presence brings a fresh, contrasting energy that enhances the song’s emotional depth.

Speaking about the release of ‘Sabar Sayang’, Quai shared that the collaboration came together naturally

According to the rapper, Yuna had initially tweeted about his past project back in 2020, revealing she was a fan of his music and had been hinting at a collaboration ever since.

Following her interest, Quai wrote a beat for her, and the rest of the track flowed easily, despite Yuna working remotely while she was still based in Los Angeles.

Together, Quai, Yuna, and Orang Malaya crafted a heartfelt narrative around love, understanding, and communication, which they believe are essential to maintaining a healthy relationship, especially in long-distance situations.

Quai also reminds listeners that while conflicts may arise, trust is crucial for a relationship to thrive.
