Recently, a viral video in America regarding Pornhub, the biggest porn-site in the world, has finally caught up with Malaysian social media users.

The clip comes from a campaign called Traffickinghub which recently gained over one million signatures on their petition to shut down the porn site.

Posted over the weekend, the animated video exposed how Pornhub is allegedly enabling and profiting from videos of rape, sex trafficking, and other forms of non-consensual abuse on their site. The exposing video has been shared like crazy all over social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Watch it here:

It started by stating that Pornhub makes millions of dollars from ad revenue, data collection, and premium subscription, and is “blatantly enabling and profiting from rape, sexual abuse and child sex trafficking”.

The video tells the stories of some of Pornhub’s highly-publicised victims, like the missing 15-year-old girl from Florida who had 58 videos of her rape and exploitation monetised on the site.

Another victim, Rose Kalemba was also mentioned as she was raped at age 14 and the video of her assault was broadcast on Pornhub for six months even though she had begged the porn-site to take it down.

Traffickinghub mentions that this is only scrapping the surface of Pornhub’s heinous crimes as the Internet Watch Foundation has processed and confirmed in just two years that there are 118 cases of child sexual abuse on the site. Sunday Times did an investigation on the site too as they found images of a toddler being sexually abused on the platform.

Aside from that, in a sex trafficking case – 22 women claim that they were deceived and coerced by Pornhub’s partner channel ‘Girls Do Porn’ whose owners are now facing a federal indictment.

You can learn more about all of these cases, here:

“The largest porn-site in the world makes it insanely easy for users to upload videos of real sexual violence and in doing so, it forever memorialises the trauma of their victims. All for the profits and pleasure of Pornhub and its users,” the video said.

The Traffickinghub campaign explains that its main goal is to hold Pornhub accountable for enabling and profiting off of the mass sex-trafficking and exploitation of women and minors. It is supported by a broad spectrum of over 300 child protection and anti-trafficking organisations as well as experts and survivors from all backgrounds.
