Thailand’s Massage Parlours May Open Soon But Only For “Below The Belt” Rubs
Facing the dread of this pandemic for the past few months has made all of us a little stiff, no thanks to restrictive movement controls, lockdowns or whatever you want to call them. Neck cramps, backaches and stiff shoulders are common with folks working from home who do not have proper chairs and table for good posture. Well, this might be good news for you… if you live in Thailand.
Coconuts Bangkok reported that Thai massage parlours may be able to reopen soon, but the Public Health Ministry has said that if opened, they will only be allow to treat “organs” that are below the waist.
After talking to massage parlour operators who urged authorities to reopen their businesses due to economic pressures, health service support department director, Thares Karassanairawiwong said his team came up with an idea to allow massages from the waist down only.
That, however, will be decided by the Thai Covid-19 task force who, on Sunday, allowed venues like shopping malls, gyms, beauty clinics and public swimming pools to reopen, with restrictions.
Hey, everyone deserves a happy ending, right?
