Kuala Lumpur’s underground electronic music scene is getting a homegrown takeover as Stovelab returns with the fourth edition of its rave series, Echo Chamber 4, dedicated entirely to Malaysian talent.

Taking place on Friday, 6 November 2026, at Vox Live, KL, the upcoming edition shifts the focus to bass-heavy sounds, moving between trap, dubstep, bass house, and drum and bass, with a touch of techno thrown into the mix.

The lineup brings together AMKIN, LOXTKIDZ, OVTPLAY, RIN, and QUINT, putting five local acts behind the decks for a night built around low frequencies and full-throttle energy.

Since its debut, Echo Chamber has operated on a straightforward premise: give Malaysian artists a proper platform to play, perform, and command a crowd.

While previous editions have featured international names, including Marhu, the series has consistently made room for homegrown talent. With its fourth instalment, Stovelab is taking that commitment further by handing the entire night to Malaysian artists.

For Stovelab founder Rizq, the decision comes down to changing how audiences engage with the local scene.

Rather than relying on international headliners to draw a crowd, he believes Malaysian artists should be able to do that themselves.

“Our artists have what it takes to pull crowds and make them go crazy,” he said. “We don’t need international names to fill a room. When a crowd only shows up for a headliner, they’re fans of the artist, not the music. Echo Chamber is about great music by great Malaysian artists, and giving them a platform both on the floor and online.”

That last part is central to what Stovelab is building. Echo Chamber extends beyond the dancefloor, with each edition captured and distributed across the brand’s digital channels, giving its featured artists a chance to reach audiences long after the night ends. It’s part of a wider effort to build visibility for Malaysia’s electronic music community, both locally and beyond.

Founded in Kuala Lumpur in 2024, Stovelab has developed several formats around the region’s underground electronic music scene, including Setscapes, its cinematic DJ sessions filmed at architecturally significant locations, and Loopacabana, a house and tech house series with a pool party crossover.

Across its projects, the brand has produced more than 127 episodes and 30 events featuring over 90 artists, generating upwards of 623,000 YouTube views and 7.2 million impressions across more than 100 countries.

For Rizq, however, building international recognition starts with giving local artists the attention they deserve at home.

“If our artists are going to be champions on world stages, they first need to be compelling and exciting enough for our own scene,” he added. “But without a scene that actually pushes and focuses on local acts, none of that happens. It’s time Malaysia became an exporter of great music, not just an importer of it.”

Echo Chamber 4 takes place on Friday, 6 November 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until late at Vox Live, Kuala Lumpur. Tickets are available via Ticketmelon.
