Seven Foreigners Arrested in KL After Police Found A Man’s Body Stuffed in Car Boot
Yesterday (29 Aug), netizens were shocked to hear that a body was found stuffed inside a car boot at Jalan Tugu, Kuala Lumpur. The man’s legs were bound with a cloth while his face and ears had visible wounds.
In the latest update, Dang Wangi police chief Noor Dellhan Yahaya said they nabbed five men and two women, aged 20 to 26, on suspicion of murder after his team was informed at 6:40 am about the deceased, according to Kosmo.
“While investigating at the scene, police found a local man, aged 41, in the boot of a car and checks revealed that the man was dead. At about 12.45 pm, police detained five foreigners comprising four men and a women, aged 20 to 24, to assist in the investigation of the case,” he said in a statement.
He said as a result of interrogation after the arrest, less than four hours later, two more individuals comprising a man and woman, both foreign nationals, aged 26 and 22, were arrested.
Noor Dellhan said the motive and cause of the incident is still under investigation and police will seek a remand order today to detain the suspects while investigations are being carried out under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
ICYMI, the incident happened when two police Mobile Patrol Vehicles (MPVs) tracked down a Perodua Bezza on suspicion at Bulatan Hishamuddin near Bank Negara at about 6.30am on Monday (29 Aug).
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said three men and a woman had alighted from the car and ran towards a nearby rail track.
“Police personnel inspected the car and found the body inside the car’s boot. Initial investigations revealed that the car was being used for e-hailing registered under the name of a man, whose address is at Bandar Putra Permai, Seri Kembangan, Selangor,” he said.
Comm Azmi said the victim is a local in his 50s.
