Next Level Social Distancing! Newly-Weds Host ‘Kenduri Kahwin Drive-Thru’
Today marks the first day of the ‘Restriction Movement Order’ (RMO), but before the sudden government directive was announced, some Malaysians had already made big plans.
As y’all know, any mass gatherings including weddings, funeral, parties and even religious gatherings are a big no-no as of now. The RMO has caused many lovebirds to put their weddings on hold, but not all of ’em…
Not letting anything get in the way of their big day, one Malay couple decided to tie the knot in a creatively-inspired “drive-thru” ceremony. Local wedding planner, Dinas Bridal posted the ‘Majlis Kahwin Drive-Thru 2020‘ images on their Facebook which went viral, being shared 11,000 times among amused netizens.
To ensure the safety of all present – hand signals were used as greetings, a donation box was placed near the married couple, and food packets were delivered to guests in their cars by the couple. The newly-weds were all-smiles while looking beautiful in their traditional Malay wedding attire.
The post also advised, “Reduce contact in open places because we (Dinas Bridal) care,” earning praise from many online.
