Following the resounding success of Gayong, a poignant and dramatic retelling of the story of the late Datuk Meor Abdul Rahman, who founded Pertubuhan Silat Seni Gayong Malaysia (PSSGM) or the Malaysian Silat Seni Gayong Organisation, Beto Kusyairy reprises his role as the legendary silat grandmaster in Gayong 2, coming to cinemas on 9 April 2026.

Set in 1950, Meor returns to Singapore with his family, following the harrowing events involving Japanese occupational forces in the first installment.

He’s now working as a CID officer with the Singapore Police Force, but he soon discovers elements of corruption among the highest ranks in his department. Sticking to his principles, he launches an investigation into British police chief, SP Malcolm (played by Bobby Tonelli).

Meor suspects Malcolm of accepting large bribes from a Chinese secret society known as the Tiger group.

Though he has the means (and the badass silat skills) to carry out his investigation, his wife and daughter are soon pulled into the mix. This raises an ethical and emotional dilemma: does he save his family or carry out his sworn duties as a CID officer?

Gayong 2 will premiere in cinemas on 9 April 2026.

If you haven’t seen the first Gayong, you can watch it on Netflix.
