Astronaut, Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar, Trades Rockets For Motorcyles & Becomes A Delivery Boy
Our nation’s first astronaut to land in space, Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar was the talk of the town in 2007. He dominated headlines for being intelligent, kind-hearted and extremely down to earth. Despite that, I bet most of you didn’t know that apart from being a famous astronaut and renowned doctor, Muszaphar is also a proud restaurant owner.
Malaysia’s spaceman is the co-owner of Rebung Restaurant, located in Kuala Lumpur. He owns the restaurant alongside famous chef Dato Chef Ismail. During the first 6 months of the start-up, Muszaphar even partook in delivering fresh seafood and produce to the restaurant at 4am on most days. It clearly shows that space and medicine aren’t the only passions Muszaphar takes to heart.
Now, during MCO, Muszaphar wishes to continue encouraging his restaurant to flourish during these trying times for eateries by becoming a delivery boy. He shared an image of himself in the full get-up on Instagram with a caption that details his love for the business.

Of course, the response was unanimously positive because how can you ever deny the endearing astronaut turned delivery boy. Most comments even poked a bit of fun at Muszaphar saying they would definitely order from the restaurant under one condition: that he would be the delivery boy meeting them at the gate.
Well, with Ramadhan coming soon, maybe you could try your luck ordering some delicious Malay cuisine for break-fast and maybe get an additional treat delivered to your front step. And if Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar isn’t your type, maybe young footballer, Luqman Hakim, is?
