Dubai’s Love Lake Is The Attraction For Romantics Visiting The Middle-East
Dubai has no shortage of famous attractions, from its iconic palm-shaped islands to the tall boi Burj Khalifa. Another hidden gem is the Love Lake, a heart-shaped man-made lake that is the destination for romantics visiting the Middle-East.
Located away from urban areas, the Love Lake sits near the Al Qudra Oasis and measures 550,000 square metres. It’s so big that you can even see it from space.
The area is filled with thousands of various shrubs, over 16,000 different types of trees and colourful flowers that are arranged in heart shapes or spell the word “love”.
While the massive tourist attraction was unveiled in 2018, it started gaining traction after the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan Mohammed shared an aerial photo of the lake on his Instagram account.
It’s impressive in scale and beauty, but you can only truly appreciate its beauty if you’re at least 50 feet above the ground, or own a helicopter. Otherwise, you’ll just be looking at a curbed lake.
Even though that’s the case, visitors can enter the park for free and enjoy a picnic in nature, or go for a night run on its glow-in-the-dark jogging track that’s open 24 hours.
