Bag Containing Human Body Parts Found By Firemen After Extinguishing a Burnt Car

According to The Star, Pulau Sebang’s Fire and Rescue Department team made a gruesome discovery today after extinguishing a vehicle on fire at a light industrial area in Alor Gajah.

Firefighters were called around 7am to put on out a car fire in front of a vehicle workshop and once they were done, they found a mysterious, big bag in the back seat of the Honda Civic Ferio. They immediately contacted the police and were shocked to learn that the bag was actually filled with charred human remains.

Melaka Criminal Investigation Department Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Nor Yhazid Idris said initial police investigations revealed that a man had driven the car before it allegedly broke down at the Ayer Keroh overhead bridge rest and recreational (R&R) area along the North-south Expressway on Tuesday.

“A workshop owner and worker used a tow-truck to fetch the car at about 4pm on Tuesday, and the car was then parked in front of the workshop located at the Pulau Sebang light industrial area. However, the car driver did not make any payment for the tow-truck service, and the workshop owner did not conduct any repairs on the car,” he said, adding there was no written agreement between the workshop and car driver to repair the car.

Nor Yhazid also said that the workers had noticed the bag but did not suspect anything.

For now, the body has been sent to Alor Gajah Hospital for post mortem and the police are currently tracing the car’s driver.
