According to The Star, the government has agreed to reopen preschools and kindergartens from 1st July.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the opening as well as the related standard operating procedure (SOP) of the preschools and kindergartens were tabled by the Education Ministry at a special Cabinet meeting today.

“The SOPs are complete, for before the students arrive to when they’re studying in class and when they leave… There are SOPs for when they play in preschool, even their eating times. It’s all detailed,” he ensured.

He added that the move involved 6,216 preschools under the Education Ministry and 7,887 private preschools as well as 1,781 kindergartens under the National Unity Ministry and another 8,530 kindergartens under the Rural Development Ministry.

The detailed SOP on the opening will be announced by the Education Ministry soon.
