Jackie Chan’s Daughter Says She’s Homeless Due To Homophobic Parents
Last week, Jackie Chan’s daughter, Etta Ng uploaded a video on YouTube to talk about her homelessness. The 18-year old is the daughter of Hong Kong superstar Jackie Chan and former Hong Kong beauty queen Elain Ng, 45.
They admitted to an affair and gave birth to Ng in 1999.
Jackie Chan has been married to Taiwanese actress Joan Lin since 1982.
In the video, which was uploaded on April 24, Etta and her girlfriend, Andi Autumn addressed their state of homelessness.
“Hi, I’m Jackie Chan’s daughter and this is my girlfriend Andi. We’ve been homeless for a month now due to homophobic parents. We pretty much slept under a bridge and other things.” Ng said.
“Yeah I’ve asked all my friends for help, and I’ve asked all my family for help and everyone just keeps sending us to the direction of shelters where they know we will be split up. We will be split up if we have to go to any kind of government facilities and no one on my Facebook is going to listen to me and now no one is responding to my phone calls,” Andi added.
Ng also said they’ve tried going to the police, hospitals, food banks and even the LGBT community but apparently “none of them give a sh*t.”
While others empathise the state she’s in, some commenters find the video to be suspicious, claiming that Andi, who is said to be 30, is using Ng for her own reasons. One user commented that “the problem is the 30 year-old blonde who has manipulated and abused Chan’s daughter.”
Most people agreed that there’s something fishy about this situation, and it’s definitely not about their sexuality.
Ng came out as a lesbian in October last year. In March last year, she called the police over a domestic dispute and her mother was arrested for suspicion of criminal intimidation.
After the whole fiasco with her mum, Ng spent two months in hospital for emotional instability and was discharged June last year.
Shortly after, it was reported that she was living with her girlfriend Autumn, a Canadian-based in Hong Kong.
Local media had also previously reported that the pair had been spotted in Canada, and that Ng had quit her job and not been heard from or seen for months. This led to her mother filing a missing persons report in February this year.
Jackie Chan has yet to address the matter publicly.
