Nicki Minaj and Quavo unveiled a charming, nostalgia-packed video for their recent song ‘She For Keeps’, off Quality Control’s Control the Streets Volume 1, the first mixtape from the Atlanta-based record label. The album also features Cardi B, Offset, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Lil Yachty, and Gucci Mane.

Posted on the ATL label’s VEVO channel, the video is co-directed by Quavo himself and released just yesterday night.

There really isn’t a clear storyline, but the aesthetics of the video make up for it. The bright colours really complement the song’s cheeky tone of looking for love. The video is filled with nostalgic pieces like the Super Nintendo, Reebok Pumps, a landline phone, and also a brick-sized phone. Later on, Quavo and Nicki finally meet for a burger and fries at a ‘50s-style diner, complete with booths built into classic cars.

Surprisingly, Quavo’s autotuned mumble rap fits perfectly with his lovestruck and flirty bars. As usual, Queen Nicki’s verse is sassy and clever, just how we like it. “I’m the bad bitch that all the bad bitches fuck with,” ugh, slay!

Recently, the pair also teamed up on ‘MotorSport’ that featured the whole Migos trio and Cardi B. Since then, ‘MotorSport’ has garnered over one million views.
