People are Mourning Marilyn Manson Instead of Charles Manson – and It’s Hilarious

When Charles Manson passed away on Sunday from natural causes, we were surprised with the outpouring of grief by folks on Twitter (what with him being a literal mass murderer). Turns out, they’ve got the wrong Manson.
Remember to check your facts so you don’t get roasted like poor Christian here.

Fun fact, Marilyn Manson (real name Brian Warner) adopted said stage name as a composite of two iconic American figures – Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson, which might explain this hilarious mix up.
In his autobiography, The Long Hard Road Out of Hell, he wrote:
The balance between good and evil and the choices we make between them are probably the single most important aspects shaping our personalities and humanity…
Marilyn Monroe had a dark side just as Charles Manson has a good, intelligent side.
In 1971, Charles Manson was imprisoned for orchestrating the gruesome deaths of seven people, threatening the hippie ‘Make Love Not War’ counterculture in ‘60s California.
