‘Who let the dogs out?’ A catchphrase that might soon be outdated due to the fact that there are many places in the Klang Valley now that are not only dog- but pet-friendly. Hmm.. someone should do a listicle on that.

The Barn at The Waterfront @ Desa Parkcity is the latest of the lot of bar-resto places that welcome your furkids, though it sets itself apart by being a wine-specialist bar, with an extensive list of reds and whites and other variants lesser known to wine-drinkers. There’s even wine from countries that aren’t well-stocked at your local grocers like from Georgia (and Germany to some extent). And if you’re not familiar with the wine, then an on-duty wine ambassador will be present to help you out.

If wine’s not your thing and never will be, then there’s beer on tap and a list of cocktails and spirits as well.

The restaurant also provides gastronomical delights to accompany a good night of drinking. Focusing mainly on meats, the siew yoke is practically perfect while the roasted pork pizza and the signature iberico pork ribs can’t be beat. For something to share, get the Tapas Combo Platter or the Tomahawk Ribeye Steak for a good, long sess with friends.

The Barn is a pretty nice place to chill at. It’s got outdoor and indoor sections, and doesn’t feel crowded at all at full capacity. There are few more Barn-outlets across Malaysia, Desa Parkcity’s outlet is their 6th and the one has the chillest vibe so far. The bar brand will be opening their latest outlet at Sunway Pyramid in Feb 2019.

  • All-Day Long Happy Hour on Tuesdays
  • RM10 for glass of house wine / mug of Tiger Beer from 12pm – 7pm daily

  • Wednesdays Ladies Night – Free cocktails whenever the bell rings, from 8pm onwards
  • Thursdays Gentlemen’s Night – selected whiskies at 20% off
