One of the things we miss is going to the movies. Since that ain’t happening anytime soon, Lionsgate has announced a selection of movies that will be available to stream for free on YouTube, as reported by Variety.

Lionsgate will stream 4 movies – The Hunger Games, La La Land, John Wick, and Dirty Dancing – on a programme called ‘Lionsgate Live! A Night at the Movies’, which will be hosted by veteran actress Jamie Lee Curtis.

The streaming starts with The Hunger Games at 6am (local time) on Saturday (18 April), Dirty Dancing on 24 April, followed by La La Land on 1 May, and John Wick on 8 May. The John Wick screening will have an age restriction.

All of the movies will be absolutely free to stream, though Lionsgate encourages viewers to make an initial donation to the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, an organisation dedicated to helping workers impacted by Covid-19 in the motion picture industry.

Stay safe, stay home and watch some movies.
