WATCH: Grab Collaborates With Ujang To Pay Homage To Our Unsung Heroes In A Comic-Style Video
With Malaysians relying so much on services like food delivery, ride sharing, and instant dispatching over the past year, there have been many stories of delivery riders and drivers involved in such services going out of their way to accomplish their tasks and even push one step further for their customers.
Wanting to shine the spotlight on such heroic deeds, Grab has recently launched its very first Grab Lejen campaign, which aims to honor the people that it calls its “partners”, including riders, deliverymen, and e-hailing drivers for example.
The campaign features a series of stories that were shared from the public of Grab drivers and delivery partners performing feats that were beyond their job scope.
The campaign begins with a video that briefly tells the story of three legends, leading to three live stream events meant exclusively for Grab’s drivers and delivery partners.
Grab Lejen is expressed in the style of comic heroes as the story unfolds in panels and still frames to dramatise the selfless acts by the drivers.
Country marketing head of Grab Malaysia, Hassan Alsagoff, said its partners have shown despite the trying year, there is nothing the country is unable to overcome with kindness.
“With this annual initiative, Grab Malaysia hopes to continue honouring its drivers and delivery partners for their incredible acts of service and kindness while serving fellow Malaysians,” added Alsagoff.
In addition, Grab has collaborated with renowned Malaysian cartoonist Ujang to design comics inspired by the best true stories Malaysians have shared of driver and delivery partners going above and beyond the call of duty.
These comics will be revealed after Grab’s weekly live stream events throughout the month with the real-life partners receiving exclusive rewards from Grab as a token of our appreciation.
The launch of Grab Lejen is part of Grab’s wider commitment to celebrating its community under the banner of Festival Rakan Grab. For more information on these inspiring stories and the annual Grab Lejen initiative, visit: Grab Lejen
Meanwhile, The Clan’s business chief, Syed Nasir, said that as an agency that is all about the people, this campaign really came from the heart.
“There are too many unsung heroes that deserve the accolade and we are honoured to be given the opportunity to shine some light on these heroic acts,” he added.
Finally, some recognition for all the hard work our delivery riders have done for us!
