Though many have sung praises for the self-realisation gained from trying mind-bending drugs (we’re not encouraging anyone in Malaysia–it’s still very ILLEGAL), the effects whether short or long term and the hallucinations and euphoria that come with a “trip” have never been truly studied by modern science until recently. Still, those who seek will inevitable find psychedelic substances if not from the streets, than from the jungles of the Amazon.. as in the case of this particular psychedelic drug that makes you sh*t your bad vibes – literally.

Ayahuasca is a hallucinogenic tea that’s made from plants in the Amazon. Like other psychedelic substances, Ayahuasca’s use for healing troubled minds has been well documented by rural, tribal communities. It’s used by shamans in rituals to cleanse the soul and is said to be the strongest psychedelic known to man.

Patrons who take part in these rituals usually deal with serious pain in their life, and according to shaman Steve Hupp, it’s a portal to your inner self – your subconscious, and through that portal, you’re going to meet the goddess called Mother Aya. Sounds pretty heavy, right?

When ingested, it causes euphoria and once that fades the purge begins. It’s going to rip away all the bad juju, the worst that’s ever happened to you–you’re going to cry, laugh or maybe both, and there’s a high chance that you’re going to sh*t and puke at the same time–some believe this to be a literal manifestation of your badness being purged.

It’s pretty insane, and there’s a lot of scientific research being done to uncover behind the powers of this psychedelic.
