Very Nice! Sacha Baron Cohen is Done Filming ‘Borat 2’ & It Has Already Been Screened Exclusively
Recently, many Los Angeles folks have been spotting Sacha Baron Cohen dressed as Borat running around town interviewing people and even crashing a right-wing rally. This rare appearance got many speculating about the possibility of ‘Borat 2’ and now, it seems like the rumours are true!
According to an exclusive report on Collider, not only are they done filming the controversial movie but it has already been screened for “some select industry types”.
Citing industry sources, the sequel will see Borat under the impression that he has become a successful movie star, given his newfound fame in the wake of the first film, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
The “Kazakh journalist” responds to this by attempting to disguise himself from the public, even going so far as to conduct interviews incognito. One source even suggested the sequel is “Cohen playing Borat playing Cohen”.
While Larry Charles did direct the first film, it’s unclear whether Charles is involved with the sequel. Even the film’s release date has yet to be announced. Some believe it will be released prior to the upcoming United State’s election in an effort to reach younger voters.
Collider also speculates that it could end up on a streaming platform such as Netflix due to its explicit content. Only time will tell!
If you haven’t seen the original movie, it’s basically Borat interviewing real-life Americans, who believe he is a foreigner with a slim understanding of US culture and customs. Since most Americans are weird anyway, this comes with hilarious results. Fair warning: You will be laughing ’til your whole body hurts.
