According to Vanity Fair, the movie was put on a pause just days after the crew resumed work at studios outside of London. The Hollywood Studio behind the filming of the superhero drama, Warner Bros had released a statement saying, “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.”

Directed by Matt Reeves, and staring other A-list Hollywood actors such as Paul Dano, Zoe Kravitz and Colin Farrell, The Batman was set to be released on October 21, 2021.

The Batman movie revolves around the early days of the caped crusader, focusing on the detective and crime-solving aspects of the vigilante who sports an angry emo kid look in this film. Check out the trailer below.

It’s unfortunate that this had to happened to our favourite vampire, lighthouse watchman and upcoming Batman. Let’s hope for a widely accessible vaccine to come along soon to end this pandemic once and for all.
