Fuji Rock Festival is also known as one of the cleanest, greenest and safest music festivals in the world – 16 years running (sorry, Glastonbury). Call it Japanese etiquette, but the cleanliness of the festival ground itself is part of what draws international acts to come over each year.

This is because Smash, the company that organises Fuji Rock, makes sure that concert-goers abide by the rules and regulations set for the festival, so that everyone can have a good time. They even have a festival etiquette video that shows how attendees should behave. It’s in Japanese though, but we’re sure you can imagine what it’s trying to say.

Fuji Rock Festival 2019 takes place at Naeba Ski Resort, Yuzawa-cho, Niigata Prefecture in Japan from 26 to 28 July. Head to en.fujirockfestival.com for info on tickets and more.
