Malaysians are known for their tight rapport and camaraderie, which was immensely emphasised during the pandemic and has persevered even after tough times.

One such Malaysian who is known for their virtuous acts towards the community is Uncle Kentang.

Real name, Kuan Chee Heng, you may know him for footing the bill of a sick dog that was run over by a car and for being green-lighted to receive an award from her late majesty Queen Elizabeth for charitable work.

'Uncle Kentang' to contest Puchong seat as independent in GE15

Being adored by the community, it’s no surprise that Uncle Kentang has decided to independently contest in the Puchong parliament seat for GE15.

With 644,000 followers on his Facebook account, Uncle Kentang has tried before as an independent candidate in Semenyih in 2019 but to no avail.

But this time, he is back and more determined than ever.

He wrote in a Facebook post, “Do you want a candidate who is hard to reach for assistance or do you want a candidate who is accessible and easy to talk to?

“The voice that truly can represent the people, you, your children, and your family. Don’t miss this opportunity.”

With many philanthropic efforts under his belt, maybe this year, Uncle Kentang might succeed in becoming an MP which would widen his reach and strengthen his resources.
