This 2-Min PUBG Film Made by Kong: Skull Island’s Director is Ridiculously Fun
It’s the game that gets you into fights with your boyfriend because he’s in love with it more than you. And the game that extends your mamak sessions to 4 hours a night, where you gang up and kill over 100 people who are unfortunate enough to be in the same map. Now, PUBG aka Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, the cult game that created the massive trend in battle royale-style games is finally coming to the PS4 this 7 Dec.
To celebrate that, Jordan Vogt-Roberts who directed Kong: Skull Island gathered some of his friends namely Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton) and Nick Robinson (Love Simon) to star in a short teaser.
It’s only 2-minutes long, but it’s the most fun, crazy and ridiculous live-action version of the game and to be honest, we won’t mind if Hollywood makes it into a feature film. However, another landmark game franchise might be coming sooner to the big screen…
According to io9, Vogt-Roberts is in talks with Sony to turn the iconic Metal Gear Solid into a feature movie. He’s released a lot of concept art online to let people know how the movie could feel like if it’s made. With the director being explicit about making this a reality, and throngs of fans stretched across generations and the world, MGS is ripe to be given its Hollywood treatment.
