Unlike other more uppity spirits, it’s easy to label rum as a party drink (thanks, broke-ass college kids) but The Rum Bar is taking the drink to the standard that it deserves.
Located along the busy streets of Changkat, Bukit Bintang, The Rum Bar is home to the largest collection of rum in Asia and we’re not exaggerating.. they have more than 300 labels sourced from around the world. Since The Rum Bar specialises in rum, the bartenders there are well-versed with the drinks menu and have their own customised drink, so feel free to ask them for one!
Other than great rum, The Rum Bar is a place for great food. Their menu offers a curated, contemporary Latin menu inspired by “Barbacoa“, a style of cooking meat that originated from the Caribbean and where the term Barbecue comes from. You can choose different kinds of platter with selection of pork, beef, or lamb. If you’re a pork lover, we recommend the Ribs & Sausage platter that can accommodate up to 2 to 3 persons. It has Barbacoa Spare Ribs, Iberico Sausage, Thuringer Sausage and Pigs in Blanket.
You get to choose two sauces with each order and there are six to choose from. Feeling safe? There are always the classic Hickory Smoked BBQ or Black Pepper, but if you’re feeling adventurous, try the Pineapple Capsicum Salsa, Maple Espresso, Coriander Mint Salsa, or Spicy Burn.
While you wait for the big platter, start small with the appetizers and enjoy some rum, beer or other spirits with your friends. Try the shell-less Escargot “A La Mantequilla“, Chorizo Sliders or Gambas Al Ajillo.
The Rum Bar pays homage to the culture and history of rum with its gastronomical delights and selection of drinks.
