With over 200,000 subscribers on YouTube, 16 Baris has yet to drop another banger with the latest upload dated March 2019. So while Malaysians have had plenty of time to catch up since then, it looks like international rapper Snoop Dogg did some binge-watching too!

Let us say this again – yes, the one and only Snoop Dogg watched 16 Baris.

Through an Instagram story this morning (15 Sept), the iconic rapper shared a picture of him watching the show’s episode 15 of season 2 that featured local rappers – Bunga, NOKI, and Wo Shi Jay.

Snoop Dogg wrote, “@16Baris dope show with unsigned international rappers” followed by a link to the episode.

Meanwhile, Joe Flizzow also uploaded a picture this morning that shows him in a Zoom call meeting with Snoop Dogg himself.

Joe wrote, “Zoom call with the legend @snoopdogg… I love my job”. Yeap, pretty big deal!

While there is no explanation of what the Zoom session is about, many are speculating that Joe is probably working on something big that involves Snoop.

If you’re an avid listener of hip-hop in the local scene, 16 Baris is no stranger to you.

The YouTube series created and presented by Malaysian OG-rapper Joe Flizzow is pretty straightforward – rappers from all over South East Asia are invited to drop 16 bars of original rap.
