According to Malay Mail, homegrown singer, Aizat Amdan has teamed up with seven other Asian artistes to record a song of hope during the Covid-19 pandemic, titled ‘Me Me We’.
Organised by Warner Music, the record label stated,
“‘Me Me We’ is a message of hope for people around the world suffering from the coronavirus. Artistes from six Asian countries sing in one voice, delivering the message that we are one.”
Aizat will be joined by three artistes from South Korea – popular singer Ailee, Ravi from K-pop band VIXX as well as a rising idol group, NewKidd. The track will also feature Indonesian R&B artiste, Rahmania Astrini, Vietnamese band Chillies, Thailand’s PAAM and Filipino rapper Quest.
The song was recorded in the individual artiste’s own country before being sent to South Korea for production. ‘Me Me We’ will be released on major music platforms on July 31.
Aizat first appeared in the industry when he joined the popular singing competition, Akademi Fantasia. He proved that he was more than a reality star as he is now recognised as a well-known award-winning singer-songwriter, with tracks like ‘Pergi’, ‘Jangan Menangis’ and ‘Sampai Ke Hari Tua’.
