Music can be a great escape, especially in times like these. That’s why we’re grateful for The Lounette’s new MV for their single, ‘These Nights’. The single was written and composed entirely by the pair and was produced by former member, Syahir ‘Ed’ Said.

The track captures the feeling of falling in love at a young age and drowning in the beauty of it all. It also emotes the sense of longing for a lover who’s far away, which tbh, is what some of us are feeling right now. Raziq’s silvery and light vocals, together Fahani’s smooth guitar licks that reminisce of John Mayer, give the song that vintage romance sound.

First appearing in the indie scene back in 2018 as a trio, the Malaysian R&B and Neo-Soul band now consists of Razziq in charge of vocals and songwriting, while Fahani takes the job as the guitarist, keyboardist, flutist and bassist.

After a year of hiatus, the band is back with a new sound that’s inspired by artistes such as Amy Winehouse, Snoh Aalegra, and lyricism of Lana Del Rey.

If you love those artists, then you might want to keep The Lounette on your radar.
