Malaysian rapper Namawee has been remanded over his latest music video ‘Like A Dog’.

According to The Star, City Deputy Police Chief Deputy Comm Datuk Zainuddin Yaacob said the singer has been remanded for four days, since his arrest on Thursday (Feb 22), after he went to Bukit Aman to provide his statement about the video.

“Yes. He’s been remanded until Feb 26 to assist investigations,” said Datuk Zainuddin.

The video in question was shot in Putrajaya and features a group of individuals wearing dog masks, dancing around and… well, doing the doggie-style which is apparently offensive outside the Animal Kingdom.

The song also took jabs at corrupted parties in Malaysia–the lyrics mention the sound a Malaysian dog makes–“Mari Mari Wang Wang” (money, please come).

Before this, Namawee was probed for investigations back in 2007 for his controversial music video called ‘Negarakuku’ and was remanded in 2016 for yet another controversial MV, ‘Oh My God’.
