Police Arrest Four Men Involved in ‘Parang’ Fight at Kajang

According to Sinar Harian, police arrested four male-suspects who were involved in a fight using machetes, or parang, at Taman Juara Jaya, Batu 9 Cheras in Kajang, yesterday (31 Jan).

Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan said he was informed about the incident after receiving a call at 6.37 pm. He noted that the fight left two individuals injured, who are currently being treated at a hospital.

“Following that, the Criminal Investigation Division (BSJ) of the Kajang District Police Headquarters (IPD) arrested four suspects suspected of being involved in the case. The case is being investigated under Section 326/148 of the Penal Code,” he said in a statement today (1 Feb).

For now, investigations are still underway by the police to identify the motive for the incident.
