PN Agrees To Take YDP Agong’s Suggestion For Governing Coalition Into Consideration
Perikatan Nasional (PN) claims that its Supreme Council has decided to take the King’s suggestion for the establishment of a unity government into consideration.
This is in the interest of national cohesion and the wellbeing of the populace, according to PN Secretary-General Hamzah Zainudin.
He claimed that this came after today’s PN Supreme Council meeting for the formation of a federal unity government, as reported by FMT.
The YDP Agong had requested PN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) to collaborate with each other in developing the government, as per PN Chairman Muhyiddin Yassin. He stated that PN rejected this because the coalition was adamant about refusing to work with PH.
The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) previously endorsed Muhyiddin for the position of prime minister. Subsequently, GPS clarified that it will leave the choice of the next prime minister up to the YDP Agong. Similar remarks were made by GRS today.
