This year’s 2020 US presidential election might just get a little more fashionable for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ campaign as a group of well-known artists and designers including KAWS, Prabal Gurung and Gabriela Hearst have partnered up to show their support by designing the pair’s campaign’s merchandise.

According to Hypebeast, the diverse group of designers have come up with a more modern thematic union-made design that features printed bandannas, custom scarves, and hoodies with the words “Vote Joe” written on the front; whereas graphic designer and art director Joe Perez has created a more streetwear themed design with bucket hats and tie-dye shirt with acid graphic designs of Biden’s campaign that kinda looks a Grateful Dead concert tour tee.

I’m proud to join a diverse group of American fashion designers in designing the Believe in Better merchandise collection to show our support for the vision that @joebiden and @kamalaharris have put forward. I fully support the Biden/Harris ticket because we need respected leadership on the world stage that will restore the United States as a beacon of democracy, freedom and hope. We need leaders who not only understand and respect the gravity of their elected positions but who will be ready to govern on day one. Leaders who will bring back dignity, honor, and empathy to The White House. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are fully prepared to meet the challenges of the pandemic, and economic crisis that face our country. Biden and Harris will meet our national reckoning with systemic racism by listening to the people, meeting with community leaders, and instituting real change so that our country can realize the dream of becoming the republic it was always meant to be. Link in Bio. I’d like thank creative advisor to Joe Biden, @robynkanner for bringing me into this deeply meaningful project and for guiding the creative ship so brilliantly. I’d also like to thank design director to Joe Biden, @tastelemonaid for all her focused insight and positive energy. “We are in a battle to restore the soul of our nation, and we’re seeing Americans across the country come together in a variety of ways to support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris because they are the leaders we need to heal and unite the country. I thank these designers for volunteering their time and talents to help win this election and the hardworking people who brought these designs to life,” said Rufus Gifford, deputy campaign manager (Biden for President), in a statement.

Creating merchandise that’s eye-catching and inclusive is a great way to boost a campaign. Can we expect something like this in our next election in Malaysia?
