M’sian Starlet Jaclyn Victor Will Sing You A Song At Her New Bar, BATS, in Jalan Telawi

After giving us the nationally beloved song, ‘Gemilang’, it seems like Malaysian songstress Jaclyn Victor is expanding her horizons beyond just her singing prowess. Now, she’s dipping her toes in the world of restaurants, wines and food by opening up a bar at Jalan Telawi.

Partnering with longtime friend, Geoffrey Leembruggen, Jaclyn opened the doors to BATS which stands for Bar At Telawi Street. Not only can patrons get a taste of some exquisite food and drinks, but they might also catch Jaclyn belting out a few tunes.

The bar doubles as a live-entertainment hub as it has performances every night. On some nights, the talent is kicked up a notch if Jaclyn decides to join in on the fun. According to her, she’ll even take requests from customers. Great food and serenades by Jaclyn Victor… sounds like a premium deal to me!

BATS means a great deal to the talented singer, as she was involved in the sanding, painting and shellacking of the restaurant itself. She even recommended a few items from the menu in order to get you started.

Among her recommendations are…

1. Lamb Cutlets

2. Mee Goreng Mamak

3. Mushroom and Asparagus in Cream Sauce

While of that looks delicious, the main attraction, apart from the bubbly Jaclyn herself, are the bottles of bubbly served at the bar. With somewhat of a speakeasy vibe, patrons can have their pick of various forms of alcohol or enjoy the wine buffet promotion.
