While collecting vinyls is considered one of the blaring harbingers of an unadulterated softboy, nobody said anything about collecting jewellery inspired by said vinyls…

A Malaysian Instagram shop by the name of @vinylsaia is immortalising some of our favourite vintage vinyls as cute handmade jewellery.

What started out as a hobby turned into a business as the owner began crafting these intricate pieces based on the colourway or overall theme of the vinyls she has collected over the years.

Take a look at some of her pre-made pieces:

Vinyl Saia is the brainchild of 19-year-old Rania, who adores music from the ’70s and ’80s for being the pinnacle era of some of the most iconic pop culture and musical references that we’re still familiar with ’til this day.

In a short chat with JUICE, she mentions how her love for music from this era was passed down to her from her parents and she grew to adore it even more throughout the years as she listens to it on the radio in the car.

Marrying her love of music with her love of jewellery, Rania decided to turn some of her mom and grandma’s vintage beads into the handmade, unique pieces we see on her page while she spins her favourite records.

As of right now, the artists she has paid homage to include Prince, Duran Duran, Culture Club, Cocteau Twins, Earth Wind & Fire, David Bowie and even the more modern, Radiohead.

But despite being an old soul, Rania enjoys some of the newer releases as well from artists like Billie Eilish, Coldplay and Tame Impala.

Not only does she create art inspired by the music she listens to, but she occasionally does reviews on her page as well.

If any of the artists mentioned are those you aren’t familiar with – to which I say, get familiar with ’em now! – you can also opt for your own customised piece by suggesting your personal favourite album.

Her DMs are currently open for orders so flood her notifications now for your own statement jewellery inspired by your album or artist of choice!
