‘Monarch’ Season 2 Unleashes a New Titan in First Trailer

The Monsterverse is offically roaring back to life this month with the arrival of the first trailer for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season Two.

Following a breakout first season, the series will return as a 10-episode second chapter, slated for a global premiere on Friday, 27 February 2026 on Apple TV. And if the trailer is anything to go by, we can expect a doubling down on scale, spectacle, and stakes.

The world is at the brink in Season 2

In case you need a non-spoiler refresher of the events that took place in Season 1, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters follows two siblings as they unravel their family’s past connection to the shadowy organisation Monarch.

The journey spans decades, placing Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russel and Wyatt Russel) at the heart of a mystery that bridges the 1950s and the present day.

Fast forward to Season 2, and we can expect to see resurfaced secrets, blurred alliances, and old faces pulled back together on Kong’s Skull Island.

From there, we’re introduced to a mysterious coastal village and a brand new threat rising from the deep. Of course, Kong and Godzilla both return, but the spotlight shifts to a completely new titan called ‘Titan X’. The new threat is an ancient force with a bioluminescent appearance that signals impending doom.

The core cast from Season 1 returns, including Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm, while Season 2 also welcomes a strong slate of guest stars such as Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Cliff Curtis, and Dominique Tipper.

Beyond Monarch, a Young Lee Shaw prequel is already in the works, alongside multiple new series featuring both fresh and fan-favourite Titans. For now, we can enjoy Season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters when it hits Apple TV on 27 February.
