Apple TV’s Ted Lasso is officially making its way back onto the pitch this summer with its long-awaited and highly anticipated fourth season.
At first glance, you might think the show revolves around football, but the real core of Ted Lasso is about heart, and the fact that a fourth season is even coming shows just how much it resonates with global audiences, football fan or not.
Radical kindness at heart

Since debuting in 2020, the series has become somewhat of a unifier in pop culture, winning over hardcore football fans as well as complete strangers to the sport with its subtly disarming warmth and sharp writing.
Of course, Jason Sudeikis returns as Ted Lasso himself, who makes optimism seem like an olympic sport. Joining him are a familiar squad, including Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift.

Season Four sees Ted facing his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second-division women’s football team. It’s a big departure from the team we’re used to seeing in the prior three seasons, but perhaps that’s a good thing. They’ve had their run, now it’s time for fresh new faces, and a completely different professional football league.

Some new faces we can expect to see in Season Four include Tanya Reynolds, who played Lily Iglehart in Sex Education, as well as Faye Marsay (Andor, Game of Thrones). They’re joined by rising talents Jude Mack, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.
No specific premiere date has been announced yet. For now, Season Four of Ted Lasso is slated for a Summer 2026 release.
