Michelle Yeoh Returns To Ipoh With Oscar In Hand To Honour Late Father & Celebrate Mum’s Birthday
Michelle Yeoh recently solidified her position as a trailblazer in the entertainment business with her win at the 94th Academy Awards for her role in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once, and her accomplishment quickly became source of pride for Malaysians nationwide.
But the actress isn’t done making headlines yet! Malaysia has been abuzz with excitement since Yeoh’s return to Ipoh, her hometown. She was also seen presenting her mother, 83, with her Oscar and seized the occasion to pay tribute to her late father, Yeoh Kian Teik, in conjunction with Qingming.
Via a status update on Facebook announcing her trip back to Malaysia whereby she thanked her parents for their love and support, Yeoh added that she was thrilled to bring the trophy home to Malaysia to celebrate with her family.
