Gone are the days where women are not allowed to discuss their periods publicly.

After the Libresse fiasco that left Malaysian women shocked at the close-minded outlook on periods and vaginal health, it seems like there is a new awakening amongst local women to break the stigma.

In the wake of International Women’s Day as well as the ongoing Endometriosis Awareness Month, local menstrual cup shop, Bloody Goodshop has collaborated with embroidery artist, Anni Tai to create an exclusive period kit.

Women on the internet have become more outspoken about illnesses and grievances regarding their vaginas.

After years of being overlooked and underestimated, we are finally being heard and our pain is being acknowledged and treated.

With that, this collaboration could not have come at a better time.

The artist has created floral uterus art to normalise talking about reproductive health. Our vaginas are beautiful and by depicting it through colourful art, it further encourages women not to be ashamed about their reproductive parts.

The brand is not only championing women empowerment and vaginal health, but it is also sustainable.

The period kit with Anni Tai consists of the OrganiCup which is aimed at a positive environmental impact by reducing over 300 million single-use waste.

According to Bloody Goodshop, “When you buy an OrganiCup, you’re saving the earth one cycle at a time.”
