It’s healthy to have an active imagination. But when you’re talking to the police, method acting as an officer might not be the best course of action legally speaking.

Unfortunately, such was the case for an agitated man who tried to barge into the guardhouse of Balai Polis Pandan Indah at 1.15am yesterday (19 Oct), disguised as a PDRM officer himself.

In a statement given by Ampang Jaya Chief Of Police Mohamad Farouk Eshak, the alleged suspect was reprimanded by several officers of Balai Polis Pandan Indah’s special task force after attempts to calm him down failed.

“In any case, the suspect could not produce a valid police authority card to prove his identity and proceeded to act too aggressive and caused a struggle when our officers tried to arrest him”.

Despite the absurd situation, Chief Mohamad Farouk Eshak confirmed that the suspect tested negative for drugs. Currently he is still under investigation. No reports mentioned the suspect’s motive.

We are thankful that nobody got hurt in this incident and hope that the suspect, if truly of unsound mind, gets all the necessary help he should.
