Whether you’re on a roller coaster or splashing around in a man-made surf beach, amusement parks bring out all the smiles. If you’re up for fun after staying in for too long, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob recently has given the green light for theme parks and water parks to reopen!

According to The Star, he said that these parks can reopen on 1 July 2020. Park operators must follow the Covid-19 preventative guidelines including ensuring visitors observe social distancing at all times.

“They are also to limit their visitors based on the capacity and space of the venues. The temperature must be taken and hand sanitisers must be provided. As for visitors, they must register their details via the MySejahtera app,” he said at his regular briefing yesterday.

Ismail noted that water park operators also need to follow the SOP and guidelines issued by local authorities pertaining to the management and maintenance of public pools as well as pool water quality monitoring.

“The SOP and guidelines are available on the National Security Council and the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry websites,” he said.
