The Malaysia Animal Association has informed the public to keep a lookout for a stray dog that has been painted to resemble a tiger, as the dog is in a dire situation with its fur covered in toxic paint.
The images of the orange and black dog have been posted on the organisation’s Facebook page as they urged members of the public to come to them with any information that could also lead to the arrest of the culprits.

A mystery award will also be given to anyone who has complete information on the incident. The Facebook post, which has garnered almost 3k shares and 6.3 likes, has also enraged netizens who took pity on the poor dog.
Although animals might look cute when their appearances are altered, like when this women unintentionally dyed her cat pikachu-yellow after trying to treat its infection with tumeric, it’s important to note that the animals are probably not as amused as us. In fact, in this case of the dog painted to look like a tiger, the poor animal might die from the toxins from the paint or get sick and have its fur all shaven off to prevent its condition from getting worse.
So please be aware when you see pictures like this circulating on social media. There’s nothing to be happy about, especially if you’re the dog.
