Legendary Singer Mariah Carey Sued for ‘Sexual Harassment’ By Ex-Manager
According to various reports, the ‘All I Want For Christmas’ singer Mariah Carey is reportedly being sued for sexual harassment and breach of contract by her former manager, who was once one of her closest friends and confidantes.
The singer’s former manager Stella Bulochnikov accuses the star of repeatedly ‘parading around naked in front of her’ and with that, Stella seeks a ‘huge amount of money’ for a violation of the US Civil Rights Act, a Violation of the Fair Employment and Housing Act.
Once considered inseparable, the duo parted ways on November ’17 after a series of disastrous events in the singer’s career. TMZ also claimed that Bulochnikov had a three-year contract but was terminated when Mariah signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation in November 2017.
Mariah not only was signed, she was given proper management, talent agency, touring and concert production company as well as music, film and TV production. This is when she is understood to have dropped Bulochnikov from her immediate team.
Forbes, it’s stated that Mariah earned $27m in 2015, the year she signed with Stella. But the website claims a ‘huge amount of money’ is being sought for missed payments as well as the aforementioned breaches.
“Mariah owes Stella tens of millions in commission. She made next to nothing the year before that,” a source in Stella’s camp told DailyMail.
In March 2016, a source close to Mariah came forward to Page Six stating that Bulochnikov did not ‘act like a manager’ to the musician, she was more of a ‘dictator’.
“She’s practically moved in with Mariah and now she has so much stuff on her that she can get her to do anything. She’s pulling the strings, and Mariah does whatever she says,” the insider said.
