The UK’s Comedy Hero Jimmy Car Is Set To Bring ‘Terribly Funny’ Vibes To KL Next Year!
There’s funny, and then there’s terribly funny.
British comedy sensation Jimmy Carr is set to bring you the latter, with a first-time local performance on 14 January next year – featuring his notorious witty, controversial, borderline audacious one-liners straight out of Netflix.
Presented by LOL Asia and Bahm Presents, the global show will come with the moniker Terribly Funny, taking place at the Plenary Hall, KLCC.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the tongue-in-cheek joy Jimmy Carr is, you can expect jokes about “terrible things” if you’re attending his show.
As he puts it, “Terribly Funny entails jokes about all kinds of terrible things, that might have affected you or someone you know and love. But they’re just jokes, not terrible things. Jokes are little lies, joyful tricks constructed from language”.
Also noteworthy is that Terribly Funny was the UK’s most streamed Netflix comedy special of 2021, and you now have the chance to witness it live. Pre-sale tickets start selling on October 12th, while general tickets go on sale on 13 October, at 10 a.m.
Jimmy also states that his show is aimed at an adult audience with a sense of humour as twisted and deadpan as his. “Having political correctness at a comedy show is like having health and safety at a rodeo,” he quips.
Ready or not, this award-winning comedian, writer and TV host is coming to town!
